Slow Cooker Quinoa Chicken Chili

Slow Cooker Quinoa Chicken Chilli

I love my crockpot and whenever I get a chance to use it I do :)
It is just so convenient and wonderful. There is nothing like coming home after work and having a hot, delicious meal waiting for you!

I have started pinning a lot of recipes lately and have decided to take it upon myself to try and make as many of the recipes I pin as I can.

This is one I just had to try!

I mean look at the name of that recipe :)
Slow Cooker - Check
Quinoa - My all time favourite Seed/Grain
Chicken - Yum
and Chili - Well, what are we waiting for!

I changed the recipe a little by adding 4 chicken breasts instead of two, a jar of salsa instead of tomatoes with chili. and added dried black beans that had been soaking overnight instead of the canned kind (which we don't get here)

I browned the chicken before adding it to the crockpot and left the meal cooking on high for 6 hours.

This is how it looked once done:

Quinoa Chilli

And was it yummy?
Yes it was - I am actually thinking that I could go and have a little of the leftovers once I have finished this post :)

I would warmly recommend this meal if you are a fan of chilli.
